Labculture® Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets
Esco Labculture Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet incorporates Esco's experience of more than 20 years in biosafety cabinet technology. The Labculture combines a multitude of design, construction and proprietary technological considerations to bestow optimum operator, product and environmental protection. Utilizing 2 minipleat ULPA (Ultra Low Air Penetration) filters which operate at a typical efficiency of 99.999%, these surpass the conventional HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters in contamination protection. Esco Labculture features a 10-degree sloped front for maximum operator comfort. A 1-piece stainless steel work zone and the absence of screws or connectors in the work zone facilitate ease of cleaning after experiments. The Isocide™ powder coating finish prevents microbial/bacterial growth on the exterior and delivers a sleek, elegant appearance fitting for the leader in biosafety cabinet technology.

Labculture® Class II Type B2 (Total Exhaust) Biosafety Cabinet
Operator, Product and Environmental protection against Microbiological Agents and Chemical FumesIncorporating…
Incorporating all the latest design features available on Esco's NSF-listed Labculture Class II Type A2 biosafety cabinet, Esco Labculture Class II Type B2 biosafety cabinets are designed to provide operator, product and environmental protection in experiments where recirculation of filtered air is prohibited, most likely due to the presence of chemical fumes emitted during the process.
Chemical fumes cannot be captured by the filters and will be harmful to the operator if re-circulated in the laboratory space. Hence, Class II Type B2 cabinets have to be ducted to an external blower for total exhaust. Similar in design to the Class II Type A2, the cabinet is suitable for experiments involving general microbiological work with agents assigned to biological safety levels 1, 2, or 3.
